I was sexually assaulted and acquired hpv (Genital Warts)

I was diagnosed with hpv and have develop genital warts because of an assault. I already gone to the doctor and police. the case was already on court and we are having a trial. my question though is that my doctor gave me a medicine for hpv called wartrol. does anyone already used it? I know i should trust my doctor but i just want to know if someone already used it? and if it is really effective
