Sometimes it cannot be prevented. But, genital warts is a virus so it will always stay with you. Genital warts do not cause anything other than nasty looking bumps, and are not known tp cause cancers or anything else that can risk your health, at least that is what studies show. They are generally caused by a form of the hpv virus, which unfortunately cannot be tested for in men. I would go talk to your doctor.
