Treatment for Genital warts?

Written by admin on Mar 10th, 2010 | Filed under: treatment for genital warts

I was recently diagnosed with genital warts. My doctor gave me 3 treatment options- Aldara, cyrotherapy (freezing) or TCA. I’m leaning towards the cyrotherapy. My only question is, for anyone who has gotten this done before, does it hurt? How many treatments are necessary? Any info on alternative treatments is welcome also.

You don’t necessarily have to let the Dr. take them off, there are over the counter remedies that will freeze them off for you.

I am a pharmacy tech, but I have HPV as well as 80% of the population.

When you get a wart, wait… see if it goes away some do…

Either way, the dr. makes it as UN painful a procedure as possible, they numb you up put a few cycles of diff meds on it and it comes off, or they lazer it off… either way they will numb you up, so don’t worry.

After you have it done, don’t have sex or allow any kind of friction down there until it’s healed.

Hope this helps.
