I think when you have a wart causing strain you need to have an outbreak to diagnose. With a cancer causing strain a pap can tell you if you have HPV or not. I;m not sure though so don’t take my word for it, it’s just my opinion. I have the cancer causing strain and they diagnosed me from a pap smear.
