I think that it is great to wait until marriage before having sex, but it is not a guarantee that you won’t get an std. Only sex of any kind between 2 virgins can eliminate all risk. I know because I have been married to a faithful husband for over 30 years and he is my one and only-ever. He did have sex with previous girlfriends before me and thus I am high risk hpv positive. If I caught it, I would guess that almost everysexually active person gets it at some time in their life.
