HPV can be spread whether there are warts present or not.

Just because a person gets the warts treated and they are physically gone, doesn't mean the virus that causes them is gone too (HPV).

I personally contracted HPV from a man who was showing no signs or symptoms of the virus (like genital warts). I also spread the virus to my fiance and I didn't have any warts present.

Take care!

Unfortunately Yes you can transmit the disease to someone while there are no symptoms. On top of that they may not see symptoms for some time so it might seem that they are free and clear of the disease and really are not.
References :
http://yourstdhelp.com/hpv.html

Yes.

HPV can be present even when there are no outward signs and symptoms. In females the warts can be present inside her body and not be noticible.

I'd reccomend safe sex and condom use. Also, planned parenthood is a good resource for education and treatment.

Hope this helps. :)
References :
Nurse Practitioner
