Your doctor might advise you about using over the counter treatment for genital warts as not being a suitable way of getting rid of your warts. However, many individuals use these medications and say they do work.

Doctors advise against using these types of remedies, not because they are ineffective, but that the treatment might be risky. These medications contain chemicals and might cause you irritation, pain or damage to your genital area, if not used correctly

Dr. Scholl’s Wart Remover, Wart-Off, Compound W. And Freezone can be obtained from over the counter, these wart remedies which have a chemical called salicylic acid. Many individuals are allergic to this substance. Furthermore, it could be very unsafe for an individual who suffers from diabetes or AIDS.

It is a good idea to get some advice previously before you try some of these products when treating your genital warts. If you end up having any reaction, itchiness or reddishness on the skin after you have applied them, then speak to your doctor straight away.

The newest wart medication products on the marketplace employ natural compounds which help to boost your body’s immune structure from viruses and bacteria. Unlike salicylic acid, which may well destroy the warts and can also destroy the skin, these products fight warts positively, by serving your body’s natural processes that fights the disease which causes them in the first place.

These products are quite useful. It is reported nearly 50% of folks who try natural wellbeing products to deal with genital warts are triumphant.

The manufacturers of these products tell you why they are safe and successful, because they tend to work hand in hand with your body to organically remove the warts the way your body is supposed to. These can remain successful for fighting a varied range of skin conditions other than genital warts too.

These treatments are preferred by many patients, who do not want to endure the embarrassment of making constant trips to their doctor to receive treatment. Having genital warts is distressing and uncomfortable at the best of times.

If you would like additional information about doing away with your genital warts, a trustworthy source of up-to-date guide is NIAID, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. It is a subdivision of the National Institute of Health.

They investigate into learning more about diseases for the purpose of better prevention, diagnosis and treatment. They specialize in sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS and HPV.

If you do decide to these remedies, let your doctor know that you are, and then they should make you aware of the risks involved and give you help with recommendations.

You should always follow your medications exactly according to the directions, that way you don’t cause the warts to become worse or cause unnecessary anguish or agony.

What’s the difference between over the counter wart removers and dr prescribed genital wart removers?

Written by admin on Mar 3rd, 2010 | Filed under: genital wart

I’m just curious..was having a man discussion today that was quit funny and there was a big debate on the cures for certain types of issues!

first off the over the counter stuff is for external use only and the meds for genital warts are specifically made for that area. trust me you don’t want the regular stuff in ur most personal areas if it’s not meant to be there. ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long will i be sore from genital wart removal surgery?

Written by admin on Feb 25th, 2010 | Filed under: genital wart

I had some warts removed on Wednesday and they were all around my anal area. However it’s been 6 days and I’m still JUST as sore as I was the day after surgery. I don’t feel like the pain has gotten any better or it has started to heal at all. I was just wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes until I will begin to start feeling a bit better again and can move around/sit comfortably.

if you want to remove warts then you should know that you can remove genital warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or cream but genital warts can reappear again and again because genital warts appears when your immune system is weak!

HPV is the virus that causes genital warts. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop genital warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It largely depends on the infected person’s immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.

Even after the warts go away, the person will always remain infected with HPV. That person can spread the virus even without showing symptoms.

so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of genital warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities! (No smoking, no beer/ale, no booze, no drugs, no junk food, no fast food garbage, no sugary sweet soda’s. Get on a good, balanced, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables.
Drink P L E N T Y O F W A T E R , fruit juices & fat free milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk – then – do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Make sure you eat a good, balanced breakfast daily. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal. Get 8 hours sleep each night. Flip your mattress over so it will level out to give you a good night’s rest. Slack off too much coffee & tea) also you must use herbal treatment!

in that case Wartrol is a good (probably the best) product that gets rid of genital warts comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! It works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly).

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here

good luck!

HPV people: how many genital wart breakouts have you had?

Written by admin on Feb 22nd, 2010 | Filed under: genital wart

This is a question for people that have or had genital warts.

How many breakouts did you have? Did they go away?

What treatment did you use and was it successful?

I am getting a TCA peel next week. Tell me what to expect.

Just one years ago, used Aldara and it went away and never came back.

No idea about a TCA peel. But there’s a good chance after you get rid of them they won’t come back. Your body can fight off HPV and clear it on its own. If you’re healthy it probably will.

Why can’t regular wart removal products be used on genital warts?

Written by admin on Feb 19th, 2010 | Filed under: genital wart

i have genital warts and have had them treated by a doctor but what the doctor used (a freezing thing) look like the same thing you could find in the store for regular wart removal. So the genital warts have come back and i was wonder if i could just use the one from the store instead of having to go back to the doctor?

Genital warts are a different type of virus than warts you find on other parts of your body. They can also be extremely difficult to get rid of. The problem with trying wart removal products (that were meant to be used on other types of warts) is that the liquid nitrogen your doctor uses is MUCH stronger than the stuff made by Dr. Scholls (so if the doctor’s liquid nitrogen didn’t work then Dr. Scholls won’t work either). Also, if you miss and try to freeze it yourself you can cause scars and you don’t want ugly scars on your genitals.

You really have two options here: You can tell your doctor and he/she can perform a different operation (there are many operations they can perform) to remove the warts or you can work on building up your immune system so that you body naturally fight’s off the infection itself.

To build up your immune system isn’t easy. If you smoke you need to quit. If you drink alcohol you need to cut back. If you eat fast food or lots of processed foods then you need to stop. You should eat a healthy diet with lots of vegetables and fruits. Try cutting back on your calorie intake each day. You should also try to exercise as often as possible.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: If you don’t work on boosting your immune system your warts are going to KEEP COMING BACK over and over again. A weak immune system can’t effectively fight the virus that causes genital warts. And since there’s no cure for the virus that causes genital warts your only option is to make it so your body can fight it naturally.

A strong immune system will keep the virus in a dormant form (which means there will be no surface warts). This is the best and only way to keep them from coming back ever again.
